CONQUER CANCER

Throughout May 2026, the Palmer Lab participated in a unique fundraiser involving a Guinness World Record attempt: a nonstop four-week relay around Princes Park to help conquer cancer

Funds raised support Camp Quality programs for children and families affected by cancer, along with cutting edge cancer research conducted in the Palmer Lab at The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health

Here are some members of the Palmer Lab taking part in the event! Go team!

Lena (left) ran 3 X 1hr slots on a single day!

Sam (right) raised over $3000 in charity for the event, and ran over 15km in a day!

Post-Doc Tongrui Qian was happy to carry the baton for the Palmer Lab!

Well done to all of our relay runners for their effort throughout the month!

Hefei and Luc had been training for this moment for years (from all of their running between buildings to transport precious lab samples!)

Eleonora broke her personal best for longest run! Well done!

Felix was elated to run for a Guinness World Record!
